He has been in contact with Nuutti Jokinen who is graduating and planning to study and play college tennis on scholarship in the United States. It is Coach Godin's first trip to Finland and he is excited to build new connections. University of Louisiana Men's Team is currently ranked 66 in the country. As far as the History of the program, University of Louisiana has done an amazing job with their development and staying strong within Men's College Tennis in the United States. It is a place where I started my coaching career in college and during my time there the Men's Team was ranked top 20 in the country and the women's top 75. It is very important for young Finns to meet Coach Godin and see what opportunities his program can provide. All young men's top Finnish players (Age 16-18) are encourage to come Saturday for an hour practice and talk to Coach Godin if you interested in pursuing college tennis as an option.

AuthorMy name is Dominic Modise. I am a former College Student-Athlete and Coach. I was born in South Africa during post-apartheid era which pushed me to have the dream of leaving for the US with the hopes of playing college tennis. The opportunity came up when I was an Auditor for Ernest & Young to be a walk-on at a Junior College in Texas.I then went to Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy to be a coach and play college tennis at the University of Hawaii on Scholarship. Tennis has opened doors for me to be able to coach some of the top players around the world and to contribute to the sports around the world with my knowledge. Archives
